Upon entering our office, our receptionist will welcome you as a member of our family. We will request that you complete our patient forms located in the New Patient Center and some other that we will give you once you arrive at the office. This paperwork provides us with your personal information, health history, and information on your condition. Want to save time... Under each clinic there is an online portal to fill out new patient paperwork.
Next, you will have a No Cost* consultation with one of the Doctors of Millar Chiropractic Clinic to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This consultation visit is designed for the Doctor to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine if we can help you and meet your health goals. If we think we can help you, we will accept you as a "Patient" of Millar Chiropractic and proceed to the History and Examination.
No Cost* Should you or the Millar Chiropractic Doctor decide that you don't want to proceed with the examination for any reason then we will not charge you for the consultation. Should you decide to proceed on to the history and physical examination then additional charges may be charged in individual cases for those services.
After your consultation, and your consent, your Millar Chiropractic Doctor will perform a complete History & Examination**. Many patients tell us that this is the most comprehensive examination they have ever had by any Doctor. Our Exam includes a Posture Exam, Orthopedic Exam, Neurological Exam, Palpatory Exam, Range of Motion and Muscle Testing, Spine Examination, along with testing of your reflexes and flexibility. At that point, your Millar Chiropractic Doctor has a pretty good idea what is wrong with you and is ready to discuss testing and imaging studies needed for a good diagnosis. After all, most of our patients say they want to finally get the real reason or cause of their problem not just treat the symptoms.
.
After your History and Examination your Millar Chiropractic Doctor will either take or order X-rays as below and/or prescribe one or several kinds of Therapy for your
condition. This therapy
Most likely your Millar Chiropractor will give you instructions and perhaps play a video of specific stretches and/or exercises for your condition.
Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays in house or send you to one of the local hospitals where we have ordering privileges. In any event, all X-Rays are read by a board certified MD Radiologist who renders an report of your films. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves. In some cases, we need advanced imaging such as MRI's or CAT scans to make a differential diagnosis and get to the root of your problem.
