Located inside Millar MultiMedical, LLC. Decatur is the Millar Disc Treatment Center. At the Millar Disc Treatment Center we specialize in treating bulging, herniated and prolapsed disc; stenosis; degenerative disc disease; degenerative facet disease and other disc related problems like radiating pain down an arm or leg.

Millar MultiMedical, LLC is affiliated with the UAB Dept of Neurosurgery, North Outreach Clinic.  The Neurosurgeons of UAB Dept of Neurosurgery hold clinic (see patients) at the UAB North Outreach Clinic Decatur also located in Millar Multi Medical, LLC. This gives our patients quick access to some of the worlds best Neurosurgeons should that need arise. However, most cases don't need surgery. Many of our patients like talking over their case with one of the Neurosurgeons from UAB to discuss options and treatment plans.

We have treated many of those patients with great results. For years, most of us that treated disc problems prescribed to the theory that the disc compression of nerve roots and rootlets, and the muscles and structures innervated by those nerves, accounted for most low back pain. However, most of us now look broader in our pain thinking and look for multiple pain generators. We look at other structures around the disc like facets, Si Joints, trigger points, and tender points.
