Dr Greg Millar, DC CCEP started Millar Chiropractic & Nutrition Centers 11 years ago in Decatur Alabama. Dr Millar stated that "It all started in one little house and with God's blessing has grown to be one of the largest Chiropractic groups in Alabama". Every day we strive to help people in pain, get out of pain, naturally.

Dr Millar graduated prep school from Woodward Academy in Atlanta where went on and studied Electrical Engineering at Georgia Tech. After receiving his FCC 1st Class Radio/TV Engineers' license, he joined the family business as Chief Engineer over 4 radio stations and one TV station. As he went into management he realizing he needed more business training. So, he went back to school and finished his Bachelors in business and liberal arts at Barry University in Miami. At Barry, he was on the Dean's list all semesters attended. After graduation, he rejoined the family business, the seventh largest publicly traded  broadcasting company in America, "Airmedia" and had a successful career in the radio, tv and banking.

After an accident, Dr Millar had back surgery. That event changed his life. He stated that "he was in constant pain 24 hours a day every day." Trying to get out of pain, Dr Millar studied biomechanical trauma and kinesiology, "that helped some". A friend suggested Chiropractic but Dr. Millar remembers saying "I need a real doctor, not some Chiropractor. I have real problems. I've had back surgery and NO Chiropractor is going to crack my back." He further stated "He was scared of Chiropractors. He really didn't personally know what they did or didn't do. He was just scared of the unknown". He went on to say, "they were talking about another surgery at the time and my medical doctor said "No WAY" to Chiropractic". Dr Millar stated, "I got to the point that I had no other options. I had tried every thing else and was still in pain. I had nothing else to loose, so I tried Chiropractic". "Within six weeks on Chiropractic my pain had dropped 50%. I was able to start getting off some of the pain meds. I had been in pain every day for the past 2 years and what finally got me out of pain was Chiropractic." For this reason, Dr Millar shared that he became passionate about sharing Chiropractic with others.

"I told my family that I was going to Chiropractic School, they laughed. They told me I was nearly 40 and too old. Dr Millar moved to Atlanta and started over again in college taking courses at two colleges to get the science courses he needed to get into Chiropractic school. He then attended Life University, College of Chiropractic where he was President of the Student Body and many times on the Deans list graduating with honors. He then studied extremity adjusting (hips, knees, ankles, feet, shoulders, elbows, wrist. hands, TMJ and ribs). He has passed all four parts of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners as well as the Alabama State Board of Chiropractic Examination. He is further Board Certified in Extremity (Non Spinal) manipulations. He has completed additional study in Neurology, Orthopedics, Physiological Therapeutics, Auto Accidents and Trauma, and Non Surgical Disc Treatments (Decompression Traction) for Bulging and Herniated Disc problems. For several years, as a professor, Dr Millar taught Anatomy and Physiology at several local colleges. Over the years he has worked closely with UAB Dept of Neurosurgery, Dr Mark Hadley MD and Dr Tom Spurlock helping to develop the UAB Dept of Neurosurgery Chiropractic Care Team.
